Clover Architects was founded in 2022 to embrace the adaptive challenges of a post-pandemic Canada and to serve the healthcare community in Ontario.
With 20 years of architectural consulting experience during her tenure as a Project Manager and Architect with multiple award-winning firms, our founding Principal has built hospitals, long-term care homes, places of worship, schools, university facilities, and courthouses.
In the past 14 years of working exclusively with hospitals and healthcare facilities in Ontario, she has developed a deep understanding of the design challenges and complexities of building healthcare facilities catering to the needs of women, children, seniors, and vulnerable communities. Her expertise includes a detailed understanding of capital development process directed by the Ministry of Health. As a Healthcare Architect and EDAC certified professional, she actively advocates for evidence-based design process based on scientific research.
She learned her craft in India’s premier architecture school, graduating in 2004. Throughout her career in New Delhi, Saskatoon, Toronto and Ottawa, she has worked with a diverse group of people on a variety of projects – from a modern new cathedral in the prairies to a new multi-million dollar hospital in downtown Toronto. To every project, she brings a unique ability in channeling a multitude of conflicting opinions toward a common goal. She is pursuing WELL AP credential in 2024, provided by the International WELL Building Institute (IWBI), that denotes expertise in improving the health and well-being of people.
Gyana has to her credit, the magazine article ‘Green Evolution – Green Building Rating Systems’ published in OAA Perspectives Fall 2014.
Currently, Peer Advisory Chair and Founding Board Member in the Canadian Women’s Circle of Healthcare, she was an active member in Organizational Diversity and Inclusion Leadership Initiatives, NORRForward, Toronto for 2 years.
She was a board volunteer and member of the Women in healthcare, Greater Toronto Chapter for 3.5 years. She participated in the Sustainable Built Environments Committee with the Ontario Association of Architects for 4 years. She has also attended several public consultation forums organized by the City of Toronto.
When not working on her professional passion of building her business, she spends time with her young son, loves reading and perfecting dark rye bread recipes.
